About the Author
Wm. Arthur Conklin, Ph.D., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, is an assistant professor in the Information and Logistics Technology Department at the University of Houston. He is the lead author of CompTIA Security+ All-in-One Exam Guide, Third Edition, and Principles of Computer Security: CompTIA Security+ and Beyond, Second Edition.
Daniel Shoemaker, Ph.D., is the Director of the Centre for the Software Assurance Institute, a National Security Agency (NSA) Center of Academic Excellence, at the University of Detroit Mercy. He is also a professor at UDM where he has been the Chair of Computer and Information Systems since 1985. Dr. Shoemaker is Co-Chair of the Workforce Training and Education working group within the Department of Homeland Security’s National Cybersecurity Division (NCSD).

I passed my exam today. I only used this book. A couple of caveats: I have 25+ years experience as a Software Engineer; I have already passed the CISSP and Security+ (which I recommend you take first, starting with Sec+); I'm pretty darn good at taking multiple-choice tests.
(If you already have the CISSP, I really wouldn't bother with this test unless you need it for your job, like I do.)
From my review of the test (pertaining to this book):
The only book I used was All In One CSSLP Exam Guide. I read and highlighted each chapter, pretty much in order, and did the practice questions after each chapter. I made a second pass through every chapter, doing the questions at the end again. I also took ONE practice exam with the software the came from the book, rather than both. I found the software to be terribly confusing, with such bugs as "choose all that apply", but only allowing you to select one option, then counting it wrong! The practice questions were confusing, but less so than the actual test questions. However, I found MOST of the chapters to be clear and concise, except the last three, which looked like they were written by a government bureaucrat! (Secure Software Installation and Deployment, Secure Software Operations and Maintenance, and Supply Chain and Software Acquisition). I still think the book is worth getting, but you might want to supplement it with another one.

Loaned the hardcover to a co-worker before an interview that is a programmer. He gave it high approval also.
Caveat - This book is an examination guide and not the full ISC2 course!
So do Not use it as your Only Reference source for the ISC2 examination.
