Well written, useful book

Graduate of the renowned German Weihenstephaner school of brewing, founder of Colorado’s Tabernash Brewing, brewmaster at two others and beer author, Eric Warner writes an essential book on German wheat beers. He covers the essentials without a lot of fluff. A brief history of the style introduces a sensory profile of the different types of German Wheat beer and then a discussion of their physical and chemical composition. Warner learned his craft from the masters of German wheat beer brewing and this especially shows in his discussion of how to brew a Weissbeer. He also briefly discusses how to drink Weissbeer and recommends food pairings. For the homebrewer he provides recipes. The book was written in 1992 and some of the information is out of date but enough of the book is still relevant to appeal to the hard core beer enthusiast and the home brewer.

Great source of the bavarian classic style

This book cover every part of the weizenbiers from Germany. The history from its begining to the actual globalization of weizenbiers, Werner put all the knowledge as he was telling stories from his personal life, and at most of the time, it is true! With various recipes and information about the resources used in wheat beers of any style, this guide is definitely an ultimate. Could be better, but, by the year of its release I think it's perfectly understood. For the fans, a "must-have"!
