About the Author
Jason VanBilliard has been professionally involved in the field of mathematics education since 1997. His experiences include teaching middle school and high school mathematics at Plumstead Christian School, teaching mathematics and pedagogy courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels at Cairn University, serving as a private consultant and a consultant for College Board, working for Educational Testing Service in a variety of contexts, and presenting at local and regional mathematics education conferences. Jason holds a B.S. in 7-12 Mathematics Education and a B.S. in Bible from Cairn University in Langhorne, PA, a M.A. in Mathematics from West Chester University in West Chester, PA, and an Ed.D. in Curriculum, Instruction, and Technology in Mathematics Education from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA.

Biblical Worldview Integration for Mathematics

Disclaimer: I worked with the author and was involved in many conversations about this book. I love the final product. Too often we separate our Christian beliefs from everything academic, but God has made us to think! This book gives many avenues using mathematics to help us think more deeply about our beliefs. In the process, much math can be learned. The book is designed to be used by a upper level high school class or a college freshman class (I use it in my own freshman math class). It has a diversity of topics and in each topic the reader is encouraged to consider a Biblical view of the concepts. It is a nice change from the algebra only texts that seem to proliferate! Even if you don't use it for a class, it will definitely challenge your thinking about how our understanding of mathematics can be shaped by our Biblical worldview.
