Be Mindful cards are a wonderful mindfulness tool for teens and for adults. The author has over ten years experience working with teens to help them deal with stress, anxiety, depression, self-harm, and more. Teens can use these cards as part of their own exploration with mindfulness practice. Each card is a reminder, an affirmation, a question, or an exercise to help you pause, become aware of your senses, your thoughts, your emotions, your surroundings. Each pause gives you time to access your own true wisdom before you act. I am a mindfulness and meditation teacher, and I recommend these cards to teens and adults.

Do you have a non-talkative teenager? I do!

Our teenager is taking DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), and, like most teenagers, avoids talking to us--the parents. I bought these because I was not convinced our kid was *really* actively working on the DBT worksheets. So I pick a card at random (I swear it's the truth), take a photograph of it and then text it to said teenager. This gives the kid the physical space he needs to freely talk about whatever the card says. His dad and I talk about it as well. So while the discussion may not be happening live and in the flesh--something's happening.

Is it working? Too soon to know, but it's a start.

This was a really good book. The author did a good job at explaining the behaviors of cats. He also points out which breeds are good in which homes. The color pictures are just beautiful... and some are extremely funny. I highly recommend this book to anyone that has even a smidgen of interest in cats. There are so many breeds that I did not know even existed! He also shows pictures and descriptions of mixed breed cats and even points out the benefits of spaying and neutering! So full of information. It had me in awe and I thought I already knew alot. I HIGHLY recommend this book!

Nothing brings about more moans and groans from senior staffing than reminders that performance reviews are due. Some reviews practically write themselves, others, not so much. This book addresses just about every situation at every level that you can think of. It definitely takes the drudgery out of writing the reviews. For your long-time employees that keep doing stellar work, it gets harder and harder to keep it fresh and new each year. Good or bad, new or long-timer, this book is a God-send.
